Athens Creative - Daycare Centre (2016)

Located in a small lot in Voula, a seaside suburb south of Athens, this new public daycare is designed in order to provide new educational experiences and offer a series of alternative urban stimulus to its little users.

Through its design approach, it aims to generate a building that renders the nature of its use while at the same time achieving a soft blend with its built environment. The spatial qualities are tailored to all of its users while the facade openings are reflecting the special use of the inner space categorized based on the toddler/adult presence ratio of it. The spaces serving the toddlers have more low height openings in contradiction to the administration spaces ones.
